The Baltimore Zoo

You know how Scarlett O'Hara - and me too, shamelessly ripping off Margaret Mitchell-keeps saying "Tommorrow is another day!"? Well today was that day! The weather was delicious, cool, dry and blue. I've had a full aerobic workout, cleaning the bugs off the at the self-wash. I bought a loaf of sour dough bread and a slice of almond rainbow cake at the German bakery, and at a different German establishment, marzipans (is this craving for almonds indicative of a vitamin deficiency?). Speaking of almondy, I discovered in the course of my research that there's a drink called the Baltimore Zoo! I bring this up because my older daughter and I went to pick up from a closed show one of her pieces and then attended "Brew at the Zoo". For 20$ each we got bands, baboons and beers, many different local microbrews in a small complimentary commemorative plastic mug. There was a long line to get our IDs checked, lines for each brewer's kiosk and another for the convenience, then back into another line for a beer, then off to the line for the convenience again. I felt like a star bellied sneetch! But no matter, it was a beautiful day and we had a great time. The kid even paid my way in and drove me about! So what if I had to pick off from my person a few cicadas and put them back outside when I got home...if it was good for the elephants, it was good for me, too.
