Team Baltimore

I have been seeing more and more fund raising at busy intersections around town in addition to the usual pan handlers, paper men and flower sellers. Shelter workers, scout troops, firemen and school programs all seem to be sending members out with buckets or boots begging for contributions. Yesterday at the intersection of Coldspring and Loch Raven I saw a couple of young women in the median soliciting cash and it wasn't until I looked a little more closely at their metallic leopard print bustiers and black net tutus with silver underpants that I wondered what organization they represented.

A pause to consider

A gallery in Portugal has asked me for a portfolio of my artwork to review and it seems like a reputable firm. Huh. I am going to take a day or so to put something together.

The light house

The sign says "ROADSIDE ATTRACTION" and of course you see a toy SAAB peeling out. Parking in the rear.

Next step

So, a mini police beacon came in the mail. I loaded it with batteries,
tested it and set it with positive and negative velco tabs to a lid
glued to the center of the cap to the mailing tube that is the body of
The Lighthouse of Alexandria I am constructing. The next step is an
historic marker in miniature.

Chewing through the weekend

On Saturday we attended Todd Brizzi's opening and barbeque at Charmed Life Art Gallery and Tatoo Studio. Great show by the logo man of Lauraville! It was nice to look at and talk art with a mouthfull of burger. The fava bean canapes were fabulous, too. Yesterday I made an awesome chile with yet green cowhorns and today we are going to another throwdown. I know my friend Julie Bauer is bringing an eight pound tifle! Jules likes to make a blueberry/raspberry confection for the holiday. Yum!
