We have been having brilliant cool weather as the Autumn progresses and today it seemed as if every athletic field in the city was bursting with teams competing in various sports. I walked with the younger daughter to participate in school spirit activites and took this picture of the mascot.
Yes, it's the guy from the oatmeal drum. Sometimes he hands out granola bars, although the school has no actual affliation with (and in fact, predates) the cereal company. Our mascot is not a vicious animal with big teeth and claws or a cartoon warrior, but that's not how we roll. Peace and cookies!
