Until this season I never grew peppers that clustered together at the top, like these. Although this is the Thai Hot plant, the Dragons are forming the same way. It reminds me of a bird I saw at the zoo long ago.
Today I was sequestered but not empaneled by jury duty, then released. The court house cops in this town are huge. The system is not very efficient in an ancient building. It pains me to see children in shackles no matter how hardened they try to seem.
Hubby and I attended the openings of the two studio shows in which I have work. The Station North Show was vast, spread over several venues in close proximity. Crowds of artists, hippies and hipsters, friends and colleagues milled through. I had a really nice bowl of lamb risotto with squash at Joe Squared Pizza. I was thrilled to see my former painting teacher, Mr. Moscat, listening to the jazz quartet.
There was a moment this afternoon that took me to every summer I've lived; air still and heavy, the slow clouds, mosquito bites. For an hour I wanted cherry ice cream. It will feel good to wash my face.
