I went to admire the restored dam at Lake Roland in Robert E Lee park. Amongst the offerings posted on this Fall's program schedule is a series of meetings for young girls called Nature Princesses. The participates dress up in their favorite princess outfits, catch butterflies, enjoy crafts and face painting and more. I promised the younger daughter I would take her despite being 5 or 7 years over the age range for the group. I even offered to get her a new tutu, but she was not interested. Huh. Go figure.

Inclusion

I find it interesting that our presidential candidates are named "Mitt" and "Barak". Where are John and Jane?

Poetry in pearls

Last night I strung a pearl bracelet for myself. It has a bit of serpentine and a zebra jade stopper bead. It is part of a larger project with the kind of letter beads they used to spell baby names in tiny bracelets at the hospital.

Grilling in the rain

Again. This time with the peppers stuffed with cheesy rice and trussed up in bacon.
