It was such an eye-bustingly beautiful day that I took my self off bright and early to wander amongst the lilac trees in the back lanes trying to find the barn where Mrs. Gideon Steiff kept her cows in 1945 and caused such a stir in the state legislature...although I suspect the barn's foundations are on a different lot now, I found her garage. It sideswiped the same covenants by being across the road to the south. Oh, my! I am turning into a geek! I wish my mom were here so that we could golf-cart around to the sights. She could tell me why someone would put in a low iron rail on their back rock wall. We could discuss exterior gas nipples without shame nor embarrassment. As it is, I must make myself a nuisance to the neighbors without her.
