Radishes!

 
I heard rabbits like radishes, so I set the planters up on a step stool. I hope they don't climb up the steps. I will just have to depend on the orange cat, Homer, to be vigilant in his duties.

A Day at the Races

In an aging municiple structure built for throngs who no longer arive, a country music band, chili, cheap beer...it's hard to convey the strange situation of Pimlico Track.

But, since number three came in first on the second, we're good. This looks like a Degas pastel.

Tender Perennials

It's still cold (and damp) out, and the danger of a hard frost has not passed, but I was gratified to clear off the leaves in the herb pots and find some getting active.

 
From upper left, Golden Sage, Marjoram, English Thyme, Cilantro. In front of the Cilantro, Savory. The French Lavendar in the white pot on the right did not winter well. I'm seeing a little action in the Basils in the front left.

Treading Water

As anyone who works in a mortgage factory may attest, these are busy times if not profitable.
