The New Year

I think a neighbor must be burning sage in a cleansing ritual. I hope that's what we're smelling.

Good times

Yesterday I was up early 'cause some moron outside decided to tap out a rhythm on his car horn repeatedly for half an hour rather than get out of the car and ring the doorbell of whomever they doorbell of whomever they were trying to pick up. This happens most Saturdays. After wresting with some truly intractable bills,the postal service brought me a grant rejection so of course I had to launch right into a painting of a group of zombies. That will fix everything.

Life Hacking

We gave the kid a teen cook book and a mini blender, among other gadgets. She went right to work on her new discoveries with purpose and excitement. Pleasant aromas filled the kitchen. I hope this translates into fixing meals. The plan here is to get her putting dinner on the table as we get home from the office.

Commerce

Today has been a good day in the art biz. I sold 4 pieces from the IPhone show, to 3 different patrons!

The dark side of the year

Maybe if I pray hard enough, the earth will tilt on its axis and the sun will come back....oh right.

Interlude and coda

Today I got this text message:

"I guess I was wrong again I'm sorry baby forgive me plz I'm just stressed out about my court date "

Knowing it came from a wrong number I replied with this:

"Well call me from jail."

My phone rang immediately, but who ever called hung up on me. How rude.

Guerrilla Knitters

The yarn bombers are at it again. The parking meters on Falls Road have been fitted with dainty cozies. The one pictured is for the same sex marriage vote, which passed in the recent election. Knitting for social awareness.

Work Life Balance

So well, yes I am growing hot peppers in my office at the bank.
