How some people get hooked

Yesterday the sun warmed and teased me into a visit to the giant plant nursery north of town. Too early for seed propagation supplies, the place was nearly full of Christmas merchandise on sale. Meh. I didn't even see any bromeliads. But! A tiny "starter" bonsai tree coaxed me into another obsession at three dollars.

Two of my pieces sold at a benefit for the Maryland Art Place last Friday, the 13th. They were both Lucky Cats! There may be something to this after all.

Today...It was an astounding coincidence that the chocolate bars I sent parcel post to our office's favourite vendors arrived on the same day they had chocolate truffles delivered to ours.

I am wondering why I persist in laying a neutral ground colour on paper that gets entirely covered in collage elements. Just stubborn, I suppose. Can't let go of that classical training.
