A check has come in the mail for a dozen commissioned Valentines. They just need to be signed. There are some left for slipping into people's pockets or causing mischief.....

My project proposal was accepted for A.I.R. Studio Paducah. Two weeks of rubbing manhole lids, fire escapes, grates and what ever other patterns in the hard scape I may be allowed to attack. Now to figure out how to pay for it.

Sometimes I think all these mortgages are eating holes in my brain. It will be good to escape to Paducah, Kentucky in May. I have been selected for an artist residency program there. Hello and Watch Out!

On the offensive

This has been the winter of outfitting the family with pop rocks, noise putty and sling shots. We already have a vuvuzela, some genuine espantoons, a civil war era sword (the blunt bugler type), a machete and a trick walking stick in the toad shaped "umbrella stand" in the glass room up front. Somewhere around here a blow torch is ready to fire up. Or more probably not.
