My city is having riots. The mayor and then the Governor had a press conference and the National Guard has been deployed. Fires are being fought. The world is looking at us, in our curfewed, bunkered state. The revolution is being televised.

Mona Lisa

The painting referenced in the post below has set off the interest of another prospect. I advised him also to call the gallery. He was there when I dropped the painting off for auction. There's something about Eleanor Gatewood as Mona Lisa on the Sisson St. Bridge. I hope one of these goofballs brings a checkbook tonight.

A little more Action

Today I dropped off a painting for another Salon Show, at Maryland Art Place. It's a silent auction, first come fist served hanging. Then I posted a picture of the painting on another social media platform.
Within an hour an urgent offer was in my instant message box, over the reserve n all. Well the painting is already delivered so I advised the buyer to call the Gallery. I wish I had known.

Out the door

The seedling peppers are ready. Eight plants were assisted into permanent homes in nursery castoff pots. The first ones are always the nail biters-will they perish overnight? So bells and jalapeños join some roasters, some Melrose plants, regular Habaneros and new this year for the parking lot, Paradiscum Alaku Sarga Szentes, a sweet Hungarian heirloom that resembles a pumpkin! The types that come a dozen seeds a packet wait for the certainty of frost free mornings.

Of a sunny day

I found myself unscheduled today and so I planted. The free packet of Love-in-a-mist went into cups, so did a dozen Big Thais.

Bells

I hear the Cathedral of the Incarnation chiming nine. That will sound sweet with the window open in a week or so.

Stuff

On Thursday I hosted my own show of paintings. I sold a couple. I'd like to sell some more. Friday I attended an opening for a show in a college gallery about birds who smack, fatally, into high rise windows. Yesterday was Saturday. I attended a pre planning meeting for an international light show at the Inner Harbor. These two groups have opposite agenda for sure! So now, mixing stimulus.
I am thinking of glow in the dark fish.
