There was a very large protest march, here in Baltimore yesterday. I heard the chanting and car horns from the kitchen. I wheeled over to my tiny balcony and saw the procession. Signs and shouts for justice reminded me of the old days. I shouted “Power to the people!”! The issue protested is the murder of civilians by cops, the ratios of race in these shootings and the low rates of charges in their cases. The protest was so well organized and advertised that the people uptown were afraid of rioting and looting. Well, Baltimore has been famous for riots since before the civil war. Why do you think it’s called “Mobtown”?
