As I left a lengthy consult with an eye surgeon, (for a cataract)the sun was low in the sky. I was trying to walk to a convenience store spotted on the way. Finally I gave up and sat down in a declevity in the wall of an historic hotel where I called a cab. An older gent I had been talking to saw the cab, but the driver didn’t see me waving my hand behind the cars at the curb. Then this old guy sprinted down the street in time to catch the taxi and redirect it, then helped me get in. I thanked him sincerely and he said “I know an angel when I see one” Then I said, “No you’re the angel!”.
